What is Multiple Sclerosis?

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a potentially disabling disease of the brain and spinal cord (central nervous system). One of the primary symptoms of Multiple sclerosis is the destruction of myelin that protects the nerve cells throughout the brain and the spinal cord. Myelin is naturally present in all nerve cells with in the bod. The manifestation Multiple sclerosis can be different depending on what part of the body it affects.
